Become a Foster

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a physical shelter location. We rely on compassionate people, like you, to give our cats and kittens a temporary home while they wait for adoption. Being in a home environment instead of a chaotic shelter greatly reduces stress and increases socialization for our animals. Fostering also allows us to see their true personalities and help match them with the perfect home.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent for our cats and kittens, please fill out the application below.

Fostering FAQ

Who can be a foster parent?

Anyone 18 or older with the time and energy for a temporary pet is able to become a foster. If you rent your home, please be sure you have permission to bring animals into the residence.

How long will the foster animal be with me?

This is entirely up to you. Although we greatly appreciate the fosters that are able to keep a foster animal until the time of adoption, we understand that not everyone has the ability to commit to an indefinite period of time when fostering. We do ask that you are able to commit to at least a 2-week period so, if necessary, we can find an alternative foster placement.

Does it cost anything to become a foster?

Nope! We provide all the necessary supplies for your foster animal(s) including food and litter. We may ask you to transport your foster animal(s) to and from vet appointments, but the cost of medical care is covered by ARM n’ Paw, Inc.
